Stevenage u3a is a small very friendly u3a with approximately 200 members. We were amongst the first to be set up in 1982.
Now there are over 1000 u3as, with more than 400,000 members in the United Kingdom.
Every u3a is independent, has its own constitution and is self-financing. However, there are regional and national umbrella organisations, to assist in maintaining the common ethos of the u3a Learn-Laugh-Live.
Stevenage u3a has a variety of special interest groups who meet on a regular basis. Please visit the Groups page to see a full list of what we offer.
In addition to the special interest groups we hold a weekly 'open meeting' every Thursday afternoon that all members are welcome to attend.
These meetings are held at the Community Arts Centre, Roaring Meg, Stevenage SG1 1XN.
If you would like to find out more or join us for a taster session of our open meeting then please contact our programme secretary via the contact page.
